December 4, 2009

Today's black fish trip was for Mike and his crew. Fishing today was good you just need to sit and grind away, once they one shy of the limit each, we decided to pick anchor in search of some bigger black fish. And once again that did happen with the guys landing fish between 7 and 9 pounds.

November 30, 2009

We are now kicking off our first schedule black fish trip from the New Jersey with Tony the butcher and John and the crew. And what a trip it was, the first drop the fish couldn't resist those white crabs. They were actually lifting the sinker's right off the bottom. Once the boys were one fish shy of the New Jersey limit. We started looking around for quality fish. And we found them. The morning fish ranged between 3 to 5 pounds. And quality fish that was pounded ranged between 7 and 9 pounds. It was a awesome trip for Tony and his crew from New Jersey looking forward to seeing you guys once again in late December.

November 29, 2009

Holy mackerel we were able to get our schedule black fish trip in for Rob at the Excelsior yacht club. Didn't know what to expect after all them hard winds that came through. The black fishing was good but the quality of fish wasn't there. All the fish ranged from keepers to 5 pounds. With one fish may be touching 7 pounds the fish were there but not the quality, there was no problem making their limit and then playing catch and release. For a couple of hours.

November 28, 2009

Another schedule black fish trip down the tubes from mother nature, from them 40 to 50 kn southwest winds sorry Mike nothing we can do

November 27, 2009

Scheduled black fish trip for Pat and Tom and their crew needed to be canceled, due to mothers natures hard 40 to 50 km winds coming through.

November 24, 2009

Once again mother nature give us another good blow, so we force to cancel. Our schedule black fish trip for buddy and his crew.

November 23, 2009

Mother nature once again, caused us to cancel our schedule black fish trip for Al and his crew.

November 22, 2009

Today's black fish trip was for Jerry Albano. Black fishing was definitely on the slow side, needed to hit a quite of few drops to make our beautiful New York limits which isn't saying much. The fish ranged between three and 8 pounds it seems like that's has been the magic number. Great bunch of guys and a lot of laughs and a beautiful day , that is what fishing is all about having a great time. Looking forward to seeing you guys back out in January.

November 21, 2009

Today's trip was for Lou and Mike, for a day of jigging. We started off right where we left off on Friday, but the only difference was that there was no striped bass to be had, it was just a bluefish massacre, the striped bass didn't even have a chance at the jigs. So after a good few hours of hopping around and only producing bluefish we decided to pack it in and head to the black fish grounds. Once our anchors was set it only took a few minutes to get to fish to chew. And the limit to follow, black fish ranged from keepers to 7 pounds.

November 20, 2009

Today's black fish trip was for operation homefront, and then organize and John Ponte. We started the morning down South with great fishing. as soon as the jig's hit the bottom there was multiple hookups, with bass and bluefish. After battling the fish for over two hours, the guys started to get a little beat up. So we decided it was time to set up our anchors to do some black fishing. After a few minutes the black fish started to bite, the boat had it limits of black fish in a couple of hours. Black fish ranged from three to 8 pounds. The bluefish ranged between eight and 12 pounds. And the bass ranged from 28 inches to 32 inches. Overall it was an excellent fishing trip for our military man from operation homefront.

November 15, 2009

We are canceling Sunday's trip that is fishable, but due to the conditions of the fish not biting, it usually takes a good few days, for the fish to start turning on again. From mother nature, 40 to 50 km northeast winds, wreaking havoc on our oceans and shorelines. We are hoping Tuesday's trip everything will starts to improve once again.

November 8, 2009

Today's trip was for Rob from Excelsior yacht club and the boys for a day of black fishing. Needed to hit a few drops that day, but all the drops had good life, but didn't hold a lots of fish. Rob's nephews ages 12 and 15, out fish the man by at least a three to one margin and that's taken it easy. Rob who was aged 12 was hooking up with doubleheaders five and 6 pound fish and with Chris who was 15 was right behind him. It was a real great trip for everybody. Especially for Rob and Chris who never black fish before and got to experience, to catch a lot of nice fish. With the biggest fish going to Chris weighing in at 8 pounds.

November 7, 2009

Today's trip was for Sam and Steve, early morning bassfishing, and then black fishing, right away landed to two keeper bass 12 to 15 pounds and a bunch of bluefish, packed it in early, and switched over to black fishing. The morning bite was a little slow but by the afternoon the bite started to turn on. The boys had no problem making their limit of black fish. With each one holding back a fish, looking for that one big one, all the fish ranged between 3 and 8 pounds.

November 4, 2009

Today's black fish trip was for Joel John and and their crew, what a difference a couple of days make, it was drop and stick on all the pieces there was no problem for every body making their limit, with everybody holding back one each, in search of the bigger tog. But there was no big ones to be had. The biggest tog that day was 8 pounds. We packed it in early to look for some birdlife, found the birdlife and right beneath them, the striped bass and bluefish were feeding on the sand eels. 6 ounce gold jig's and 47's was their choice.

November 1, 2009

Today's black fish trip was for Earl and his dad and his crew. Black fishing today was definitely on the tougher side, we needed to do a little rock hopping to put fish in the cooler. It was a tough bite for the guys, but they did manage to put their limit together which isn't saying much. With the biggest fish going to Earl dad weighing in at 8 pounds.

October 29, 2009

Today's black fish trip was set up for Operation Homefront, for our military guys. with guest star Amani Toomer from the New York Giants. It was a great trip once again with Operation Homefront, for our military men and women that give us our freedom every day, the boat limited out with black fish up to 8 pounds, and also a nice catch of sea bass in the mix. New York Giants Amani Toomer was the first one down, and bang, hooked up with his first black fish, and the rest of the guys from Operation Homefront was hooking up right alongside.

Once again I like to say thanks to all our military personnel that give us our freedom every day. To let us go out and enjoy each day of our lives fear free, it's a great feeling for me, Captain Rob, and my brother, Captain Joe, that we can try to give them a day of freedom for themselves without no worries, it was great to see the smiles on all the faces when the fish were coming over the rail. Looking forward to seeing you guys once again in November before you guys head out back over to Afghanistan.

I would like to say thanks to John Ponty, with Operation Homefront for the military and Guest Star, New York Giants Amani Toomer.

God bless Rob and Joe and the Outcast family

Wednesday night open boat trip for striped bass and bluefish, turned out to be a bluefish massacre. Soon as the bait hit the bottom the blue fish where all over it, the bass never had a chance. we made a couple of moves and it was the same results.so after battling off the blue fish, we manage to put in to striped bass in the boat. It was totally insane how many bluefish were out there last night, they sure did kept everybody busy last night. I'm sure the moon and the water quality didn't help the situation for the striped bass to turn and feed, they just let the bluefish do their thing.

Today's trip was with Steve & Jeff and the crew. Today's striped bass trip was one of the better trips yet. With everybody making there limit once again, on striped bass, and also fighting off the bluefish, it made one great trip, by 11 o'clock we were done, so we packed it in and headed home. We left the fish biting, all the fish ranged between 15 and 18 pounds nothing big, but great great action all morning long. So once again guys thanks Steve & Jeff and we'll see you on the next open boat trip.

April 29, 2009

We kicked off our open boat trip for Frank and Jason, father and son trip. We started off with the little Southeast winds and outgoing water, it made laying conditions just a little crappy. Once the tide switched to incoming water, it made perfect conditions within 20 minutes he had our first bass on. Frankie and Jason made their limit and lost a couple of fish, and we had plenty of action with those bluefish already. it turned out to be a great night, and plenty of action to keep everybody busy. All fish ranged from 10 to 19 pounds.

April 25, 2009

Today's flounder trip, was for John & Kennedy and the boys. It was another tough day in search of those flounders. We only managed to boat 14 keepers. One striped bass over 31 inches and a few shorts. But one good thing it was a beautiful day and John son nine years old landed his first keeper bass.
