The action continued for two hours straight, with everybody cashing in on the action and even my son Robbie. That was out for the evening to help. It was his first time seeing that kind of action. And some times the live bait would shoot out of the water with the striped bass right behind it. It was a totally awesome site seeing the striped bass in a total feeding frenzy like that night. All the fish ranged in the mid-20s. After two hours of fishing, we called it a night. It couldn't get any better than that. And also, my son cashing in on the action to. It was a little tough for him to handle with a little help he managed. He was more excited about netting the fish, For the guys.

May 24, 2007

Tonight, striped bass trip was for Peter and his girl and the guys. Pete's girl was high hook that night. It was her first time out striped bass fishing after that. She was totally hooked. She put the other guys to shame that had all the experience. As the bunker schools went by, we would cast our bait into them. And then there was a hook up with either a striped bass, or bluefish. At some points. The bluefish was totally insane but also gave a lot of action that night to. By the end of the night she was showing off her catch and adding to the cooler for the guys that came up empty.

5/20/2007

Today, striped bass trip was for Rollen and his crew. We went back to the area where we had the weakfish and striped bass. There was only some bluefish and one lonely striped bass. We didn't waste no time there. We picked up and made a move right away. We headed east and found some marks, and we dropped the anchor. Right away, a fish on, it looked real promising than the bluefish took control. We needed to stop fishing for a while to try to get rid of those bluefish. The action was great, but going through 75 hooks was torture on hands. We started fishing again, and we found some more bass. The fish were definitely being picky that day. They did not want no heads, only small chunks at some points, we thought the striped bass were bluefish. The way they were running and in stopping. They definitely were not feeding that day right we managed to get six quality fish. And a whole load of bluefish. All in all the guys had a great time, and they all went home with some nice striped bass

5/19/2007

Today's striped bass trip was for Steve and Bobby the ball breaker. We headed out back to the area where he left off that night, what a difference. As soon as we set up anchor and started to chunk. We had a couple of bluefish right away. Then the striped bass came through, we had a good solid 1 1/2 hours on the fish with the guys limiting out, after that. The bluefish started to come back with force. We stuck it out for a while. It was just more bluefish. So we decided to go into great kills to throw the net to get some live bunker. After that, we went to a new area and it paid off again with landing a nice 14.2 pounds weakfish and also some striped bass.

5/17/2007 PM

Tonight's striped bass trip was Lou and his crew. We headed out right to the same area where we left off. And what a difference a whew hours can make. This time, as soon as the lines hit the bottom. It was a bluefish invasion, we were reading the bass on the bottom. But no matter what you did, they wouldn't take the bait. We decided to take a move, a little west of where we were fishing, and we started to mark the bass again. So we decided to drop the anchor. We started to chunk, and we had our first bass on. Then the striped bass started to come as fast as it came on its shut right off. The wind started to blow hard from the east end with the hard outgoing water. The striped bass, shutdown. And made terrible conditions for fishing.

5/17/2007 AM

Today's striped bass trip was open boat. By request, the guys needed to leave later in the morning due to their night shift. We hit the fishing grounds by 10 a.m. in the morning. As soon as the first piece of bunker hit the bottom. The line scream, off once we started to throw some chunks in the water. We started to build up the bass behind the boat, for every casts. There was a striped bass hook up. You couldn't get any better than that. The customers were totally pumped up. Within the hour, we limited out. Then we started to play catch and release also in the mix was the pesky yellow eyes demons, which we call bluefish. They also were a load of fun for our customers to. By request again, they decided to call early day.

May 12, 2007

Another great day on the water and the action was good, and the customers hooked up. Once again.

May 10, 2007

Today's striped bass trip was for Jimmy and John and the guys. The morning action started out great. As soon as the bunker hit the bottom. The action started, with landing a couple of 20 pounds striped bass. After that there was another one on that was a 25 pounds Striped bass. By 8 a.m. in the morning. The guys all limited out with striped bass, ranging between 15 pounds to 25 pounds. After that we played catch and release for awhile. When slack tide came through, we decided to go in to catch some live bunker to do some live lining. Went right back to the same spot, and this time. It was bluefish bluefish bluefish and more bluefish with a occasional striped bass. The action overall that day was great, and our customers had a great time hooking up.

1/29/2007

We had a scheduled trip for blackfish for Sunday that we had to cancel on Friday, due to mechanical problems. We jumped right on the problem, and we worked right through the night into early Sunday morning. We finished up Sunday morning, and we took her out for a test ride, and everything seemed to be OK. So it was still early enough to get a crew together to head out fishing. We hit the area late morning. From that time on, it was nonstop fishing it was one fish after another. And they were all big fat slobs, there was a 13 pounder. A couple of 12 pounders, and a few 10 pounder and the rest of the fish had to be between 3 and 8 pounds with everybody easily doubling their limits. This trip, was one of the best. The togs really wanted only white crabs, and the bigger fish jumped all over the leatherback crabs. The big slobs would rip the sinker right off the bottom and The line would just go slack, and you say, oh my God and swing for the skies an reel as fast as you can to catch up, and when you did catch up those togs would not give up for nothing that day it just was totally unbelievable. The only disappointing part was not having our customers on the boat that day to cash in on the big fish. So Danny, we need to make it up to you, and we will try to put you on them fish again.

1/23/2007

Today's blackfish trip was for Joe, the butcher. All anglers, limited out on Tuesday trip with a few extra fish being released, some of the togs were nice size some that were 10 1/2 pound fish. And a few 9 pounds fish, and the rest of them ranged between 3 and 4 pounds. We fished between 65 feet and 105 feet, and only hitting a few drops.

1/22/2007

Today's blackfish trip was for John and his crew. The morning started out good and ended great with everybody doubling their limits, with the ocean flat calm, and the tide and the little wind that we had working together. It made ideal conditions, we couldn't get the bait on fast enough that day. It didn't matter if it was green, or white crabs they were just chewing everything. There was a few 9 pound fish, and some 7 pound fish bag to. And the rest of the fish were between 3 and 6 pounds.

January 3, 4 & 7 - 2007

The blackfishing on Anthony V.’s charter on Saturday was good, and the anglers were new to tog fishing, and it takes some skill. But the anglers managed to land four or five blacks apiece that weighed up to 8 pounds, and Larry the mate helped them bag a bunch of extras. On a crew trip Friday Capt. Joe and friends limited out on tog to 10 pounds and released a few extras, and the bite was good, though they had to hit lots of drops, so it wasn’t like one spot held loads of fish. Another trip for Ron and Bruce, Black fishing was OK, these guys are new to black fishing an the bite was a little tough, it was the first time out since last year trip, which was an all out slaughter that trip. They couldn't believe when the bite is that tough how the experience pays off, Larry, the mate was helping out to fill the cooler for the guys. And producing good numbers of fish, and it showed how experience pays off. And it was a really tough bite for the guys oppose to last year trip. The guys managed 40 keeper blackfish up to 8 pounds
