Fishing Reports 2006

Just want to say thanks to all our customers for another great year. May you and your family have a great holiday and a happy new year.

Thanks again from the Outcast family.

December 29 - December 31, 2006

Blackfishing was very good today with Outcast Charters, and the anglers onboard hooked double their limits, keeping only their quotas, and a couple of the tog weighed 10 pounds, Capt. Joe said. Four of the fish pushed the scale down to 9 pounds, and the rest were 3 to 7 pounds. Another blackfishing charter Wednesday was a little slow, and paulie was high hook with eight blacks to about 6 pounds, and Eli was second with seven of the fish, and the rest of the anglers grabbed four or five apiece.

12-18-06

Today's blackfish trip was for Murphy and his crew. What a difference a Day makes with the fishing being really OK, but still needed to hit at least 6 drops ranging between 40 and 80 feet with each piece producing quality fish. Each drop gave up a decent amount of fish with no fish being no smaller than 3 pounds and bigger than 12 pounds. There was a few fish in the 10 pound range and 11 pound range, it is just totally amazing how that short life just dissipated. In one day. And the big slobs just turn on. That's why we love blackfish.

12-17-06

Today's blackfish trip was for Darryl and his crew. The morning started out with some short life, and a few keepers. We decided to take a move further south, and on that drop. We picked out some decent keepers, it seemed every piece that we hit that day. Only held a few fish, we had to do at least 8 drops, which is totally insane. We couldn't find one piece to give up a decent amount of fish. The fish ranged between 2 and 10 pounds. With the guys landing 21 keeper blackfish that day. It was one of our toughest trip of the blackfish season. That's the way it goes sometimes that's why they call it fishing. Darryl and the crew, are great guys. They'll be out next Saturday if the weather cooperates, and hopefully the fish are chewing like Thursday's trip.

12-16-06

Today's blackfish trip was for, Johnny oh, and his crew. What a difference a couple of days can make. With fish being picky, for no apparent reason. The conditions were great, but the fish just had an attitude problem, needed to hit quite a few drops that day, with a lot of short life on each piece, and also pulling out keeper blackfish on each piece. For some reason, the bigger fish just wouldn't take the bait. The fish ranged that day, between 3 pounds to 7 pounds. The guys manage to pull out 35 keeper blackfish. All the guys had a great time on the beautiful December day. You couldn't ask for a better day weatherwise.

12-14-06

Today's blackfish trip was for Pat and his crew, which was a four man charter. Today's fishing was great. We only needed to do 2 drops, with the charter limiting out with twice,Their limit, and only keeping their limit we started to to keep fish 4 pounds or better, these guys fishing today were on the money. Their ratio was phenomenal for every swaying. There was a fish, these guys were hot. All the fish ranged between 4 and 12 pounds, and there was, quite a few 8 pound fish landed that day with the rest of the fish between 4 and 6 pounds.

12-12-2006

Today's blackfish trip was for James from Queens. It was James and his crew first time fishing with us, and the fishing was pretty good. These guys all manage to limit out with nice fish up to 6 pounds and 7 pounds. These guys were definitely excited about the amount of fish that they had caught on the first trip.

12-11-2006

Today's blackfish trip was for Christian Murphy and Scott in the boys. The fish bit,was a little better today on each piece that we hit. We still needed to do it a lot of drops, but this time. The boat managed to limited out, the fish warrant as big as the last few trips. But the action was definitely better with fish ranging between 2 to 6 pounds. The guys were definitely happy with a catch that day.

12-10-2006

today's blackfish trip was for Chris from South Shore signs his crew. It was the first time fishing with us, and the fish wasn't cooperating at all it was definitely a tough bite that day. We had to do at least seven drops that day in all different areas with the same results on all the drops were a fish here in a fish there. All the fish that were landed was quality and by the end of the day, the guys had landed 35 keeper blackfish up to 10 pounds.

12-09-2006

Blackfish trip was for Johnny oh, and his crew. Fishing that day was OK. It was a pic of fish, we made quite of few drops that day with some producing fish. And some producing none. Majority of the fish that day, ranged between 4 and 6 pounds, and also a few 7 and 8 pounds fish. The guys landed 47 keeper blackfish that day, with Frank the mayor taking the pool fish that day.

12-04-2006

Blackfish trip was for Jimmy and his crew which was a four-man charter. Right from the morning the wind's were cranking around 35 kn, making it a little hard on the guys, the sea conditions was pretty nasty. But these guys manage to get their limit by 11 o'clock. Also, John, landed a 12 pound fish that day and that fish was pretty impressive.

12-03-2006

Blackfish trip was for Joe from the Excelsior yacht club again, these guys really keep us busy. The morning started out a little slow, with a dismal pick of fish on each piece. By late afternoon, the fish turned on, very aggressively. Tommy landed a 8.5 pound blackfish and Anthony also with another 8.5 pound blackfish Tommy and Anthony fish were tied for the pool so they decided to put the money back into the yacht club. The afternoon bite did produce quality fish. The guys had landed 50 quality blackfish.

11-29-2006

Today's blackfish trip was for Dave and his friends. The morning started out a little slow with a pic of fish, but by the afternoon the fish were biting their heads off. You couldn't get the bait down fast enough for these guys. When I tell you it was dropped and stick it was drop in stick. With Dave, nailing his pool fish that was 12 pounds male blackfish it was impressive, all fish that day again will quality fish an the Guys again were only keeping fish bigger than 17 inches. Once again, there wasn't a smaller fish less than 5 pounds in the cooler for these guys.

11-28-2006

Today's trip for blacks was for Joe the butcher, and his two friends. The third day after the role from the weekend. The fish started to chew real hard. Each guys double their limit that day, and with each one only keeping that limit they were only keeping fish 17 inches or better. That trip. With the pool fish going to Joe, with a 10 1/2 pound blackfish there was a lot of fish in the eight and 9 pound range that day. Joe has another trip planned for during the week.

11-27-2006

Blackfish trip today was for Joe and the guys from Excelsior yacht club. It was a carbon copy day of Saturday, we had a shot of fish in the morning, with Joe nailing a 9 pound fish and Fred nailing and a 8 1/2 pound fish. Joe had one nice fish on, and Anthony put whammy on him and he dropped the fish, about 20 feet up, that fish was really beaten Joe up after he lost that fish he was shot and depressed As you'll see later in the picture. Overall the day was great, and the guys landed 31 quality fish.

11-26-2006

Scheduled blackfish trip for Johnny oh, and his crew. Didn't expect too much to happen with this trip after the nor-east thanks given blow. The role in the ocean was on that morning, with a four to six-foot role. We set up one piece in the morning and didn't even get a scratch, so we decided after 45 minutes to make a move. That drop was producing a pic of fish. So we decided to stick out for a while. When all said and done, the fish that came over the rail where all quality.by 11 o'clock. Some of the guys wanted to go back, because they were feeling a little green. The guys managed to land, about 28 fish that day.

11/20/2006

Today's blackfish trip was for the doctor and Billy 40, and guys. Unbelievable what a day makes. When we set the anchor. It only took 20 minutes to get them coming. Once we had them. It was drop and stick. The way the fishing was going. The guys decided to only keep fish. Over 17 inches or larger and they still managed to limit out with larger fish. Everybody on the boat had at least one fish over 7 pounds and a few fish nine and 10 pounds majority of the fish were 5 pounds and better on that trip. It was totally unbelievable that day, how the fish was walking away with the baits. It was Billy 40 first time out on the outcast and the doctors. Billy expression in the picture will tell it all. Billy and the guys said they'll be back in December. For those blackfish again.

11/19/2006

Today's blackfish trip was for Joe and the boys from Excelsior yacht club. This trip was getting a little tougher with fish not cooperating. The bite was really off that day, it was making it hard for the guys. Days like that. You just want to shoot your-self. The guys landed roughly 25 keeper blackfish ranging between two to 6 pounds. Overall, the guys had a great time and another good day on the water. Joe will be back this Sunday on another trip. Hopefully that trip, the bite will be a lot better. With the weather coming up this week. Who knows what it will bring.

11/18/2006

Today's blackfish trip was for Danny and crew. It was also their first time out with the outcast. Which they never really fish for blackfish before all they needed was a little coaching. And they were producing fish. The bite was a little tougher that day, but the guys manage to put 43 keeper blackfish in the boat. Not bad for these anglers for the first time. The fish ranged between three and 7 pounds. Danny and the crew said they'll be back in January, if weather cooperates.

11/15/2006

Today's blackfish trip was for Phil and boys. It was their first trip on the outcast. As soon as we set, the anchor. We had some life, after about 20 minutes or so the fish started to come. We had the fish all around the boat. It was drop and stick for a while. We had fish up to 9 pounds with the boat limiting out with six anglers. Once the guys had their limit, we decided to try to do some sea bass fishing in the deep, which was non-existent. Last year at this time, we were still catching the sea bass in the middle of November. For some reason, they moved off a little earlier. When we were finished filleting the fish, we were three shy of the limit due to a miscount. For Phil and the guys on their first time out. It was a great trip

11/11/2006

Today we had a trip for Anthony V. that we canceled due to the rain that they were calling for. They were talking about one to 3 inches of rain that never show up, they also were talking about winds gusting to 25 kn east to southeast winds that never showed either. We know better than to listen to the weather forecast. We made a mistake on our part.

6/10/2006

Today's trip was for Christian Murphy and the guys for black fish. The morning started out with a slow pick. So we decided to make a few moves by doing so it was only getting worse, instead of running around. We should've stayed put with the slow pick because a slow pick is better no pick. By the end of the day we boated 30 or more keeper black fish up to 7 pounds. Some days you just need to sit put and deal with the the slow points. Over-all, the guys had a great time.

11/05/2006

Today's trip was for Rollen and Chuck and friends. It was almost a carbon copy as of Saturday's trip. It was another tough day fishing for those blackfish. We also managed to pull in some nice sea bass in the mix, it was a pic of fish on each piece. By the end of the day the boat had landed in about 60 or more. Overall, it was a beautiful day, and the guys had a great time. Rollen friend said, he'll be back for those blackfish in December.

11/04/2006

Today's trip was for Ray from champion ink, and his brother Rick and friends. Today's first drop for blackfish started out good with ray nailing a 7 pound fish, as quick as the fish came, the fish turned off just as quick. We hit a few more drops in the area, and we picked a few fish off of each one, as the tide came on strong, then the fish shut off completely. We made a move to the south, to get outs of the current. That drop produced a steady pick for awhile. When all said and done, the guys managed to get their limit. The fish ranged between 2 1/2 and 4 pounds with an occasional bigger one. Ray and his crew said they'll be back in December for those blackfish.

11/01/2006

Today we had a black fish trip for Jimmy from the Staten Island ferry, and his two friends. There was no fooling around today for these guys. Once we put these guys on the drop. There was nonstop action, for these guys they had limited out by 11 o'clock holding back one fish each of their limit hoping for that one big one. They never came across that big one. The big fish of the day going to Jimmy that was 7 pounds all the fish ranged between three and 7 pounds when all said and done by the end the day. They had to boated at least 70 black fish, and only keeping their limit and sending the rest back for tomorrow trip. Jimmy and his two friends was totally a static about the black fishing they never seen such good action before fishing for those black fish. Jimmy and his two friends, says they'll be back for those black fish. In late December, if weather cooperates. More scheduled trips are planned for the weekend looks like it's going to be a great one.

10/29/2006

We had a scheduled trip for black fish that was blown out. Also, that was a horrible week for us. Looks like this week coming up sofar is OK.

10/28/2006

We had a scheduled trip for black fish that was blown out again. We were lucky to get in the one day on Friday. That was a really awesome day weatherwise

10/27/2006

We had a sea bass trip for carl, and his wife and two friends, up from Marilyn. carl, and his wife asked for a late start and returned back early. We hit the first drop by 9:45 a.m. the first couple of drops started out slow, by the third drop, we managed to start pulling some decent. Sea bass and also some black fish in the mix. When all said and done, they managed to pull out 63 keepers sea bass that ranged between 1 1/2 to 3 pounds and black fish up to 7 pounds. carl, and his wife said, they'll be back for those black fish in December. For the amount of time that we had to fish with they really did OK.

10/26/2006

Had a scheduled trip for black fish that also ended up with a blow-out to. October has been a really tough month with all the fronts coming through.

10/25/2006

We had a scheduled trip for sea bass and black fish due to the weather, we will blown out.

10/21/2006

Today we head a black fish trip for Steve and Bobby the ball breaker and guys. With Friday's cold front that moved in with 40 to 50 kn of wind. It had a lot effect on the black fishing on Saturday with the wind still cranking around 30 kn. We managed to pull out a dozen black fish up to 7 pounds. So around 11 o'clock we decided to steam off to do some sea bass fishing, with the wind still cranking 25 to 30 kn that put a damper on our drifting conditions so we needed to anchor. Overall, with the conditions we managed to pull out 45 sea bass - the fish ranged between two and 3 1/2 pounds. So with them conditions we'll take that catch of fish with open arms.

10/17/2006

Black fish trip for Mikey bagels and the guys. The morning started out nice ones we made it out to the ocean. The wind came on hard and the rain followed. The guys would trooper they stayed out in those conditions and managed to pull together a great catch of black fish. They limited out by 12 o'clock with black fish up to 9 pounds, once they had their limit we called it a day. And it was getting pretty evil out there. Mikey and them guys will be back in late November for the black fishing again.

10/14/2006

We had a sea bass trip for Lou and Mike and the guys. Right from the morning. It started out good and ended great. The guys managed to catch 120 keepers sea bass ranging between 1 1/2 to 3 pounds and also a few nice black fish up to 7 pounds. All the guys had a great time and they'll be back for those black fish. Later on in November.

10/13/2006

We had a charter Friday night for striped bass for John and the guy's. We had a late start. We wanted to make the hook with at least a couple hours of light, it has been an afternoon bite up there for the past week. Unfortunately, we didn't make it up there in time. The bite was almost nonexisting for striped bass, we managed to pull a lucky bass and a couple of blues. We used live eels, clams, fresh fresh bunker and peanut bunker. The bass just had locked jaw that night. But John and the guys said It was a great time being out with the guys. We had lots of laughs all night. You can't always turn the fish on. John and the guys will be back again for those stripers

10/8/2006

Sea bass charter for Mike and the guys. With the hard northeast winds that we had Friday into Saturday we didn't expect to see too much sea bass or blackish on Sunday's trip. The morning started out slow, because of the swell as the day went on the swells subsided, and the fishing got really good. The guys pulled out 85, sea bass and also six black fish up to 4 pounds. See bass ranged between two and 3 pounds, and again majority of the them, where 2 pounds or better. Mike said see you guys soon back in November. For those black fish.

9/29/2006

Today we had a sea bass charter for Ray and the boys from champion ink Co. sea bass fishing started out a little slow. And throughout the day. It was a steady pick, we needed to work a little harder to put together a good catch. The guys manage to pull out 70 sea bass, and about 15 blackish that were up to 5 pounds, all the sea bass ranged between two and 4 pounds with majority them being over 2 pounds. Another good day for ray, and the guys from champion. See you guys soon, November 4.

9/26/2006

Tuna fishing at the triple zeros was really good. The guys went for 20 for 28 also landing 90 pounds sword. The fish all ranged between 40 and 80 pounds. The action came through at midnight to four in the morning. If we were able to keep the rods in the water without tangling we would landed a hell of a lot more fish. Once they came through, the chum slick then all hell broke out. When all said and done all the guys was shot. The fish preferred sardines and squid. We are hoping to still get out at least two more times depending on the weather.

September 17-18, 2006

Last week we had a charter for tuna. The trip was Sunday into Monday, the afternoon troll was in non-existing so we set up the anchor at the hundred square in about 600 feet of water. In about 45 minutes to one hour, we had some life around the boat. We managed to pull out some squid, we sent it down around 80 to 100 feet in about 30 minutes. We had tuna on. The guys ended up going 12 for 20. Not such a great ratio, but the guys were still happy. All the fish ranged between 60 to 80 pounds, and we also had a beautiful sight of a swordfish alongside the boat that had to be at least 13 to 14 feet, weighing probably 400 or more pounds. Outcast next trip will be Tuesday into Wednesday, depending on the conditions.

8/20/2006

Today we had a charter for Fred and the boys from the beach Como club. We had a sea bass trip planned in the morning, due to the wind. We decide to spend a couple hours in Ambrose channel to do some fluke fishing. We managed to pull-out eight keeper fluke's once the wind letup. We packed it in, and we went sea bass fishing, early morning it was a little slow, then when the tide ease up the fishing got really good. We managed to pull out 60 keepers sea bass between 2 and 3 1/2 pounds. Also in the mix was some black fish up to 3 pounds that needed to be released. And we had also a dozen bluefish. Fred and the guys had a great time, and we had a bunch of laughs throughout the day. Fred said they'll be back in November for those black fish.

8/19/2006

Today we had a fluke charter for Lou and the guys. The highlight of the day was a 5.6 pound fluke, overall, we manage 13 keeper fluke. After that day, I wanted to go home and hang myself, with the 18 inch regulation. It's making it real hard for the charter guys and myself. Overall, the guys had a great time, and they know that we have no control over the size limit. With these guys, it's not about how many fish you catch in a day. It's about a great time on the water with the friends.

8/7/2006

Had a three man charter today, with Pete, Josh, and Dozer. Seabass fishing was tough in morning ,due to a very fast moving ebb tide, this was caused by the effects of the upcoming full moon. However things did pick up abit in the afternoon. We ended the day with 60 keeper seabass and a bunch of shorts. Things should pick up when we lose that hard ebb current.

7/30/2006

Today we took off from a charter to spend some quality time fishing with the family. I took out my brother Jeff and my nephew Robbie and my lovely wife, Lisa. It started out right away to be a great day. We made a few passes on the pieces, and we started to pick fish right away. It couldn't get any better then that. Also seeing the smile on my nephew's face. He six years old. And just getting started into fishing. He knows how to work the conventional real real well, but doesn't like to take pictures with fish yet as you'll see after. After catching a few fish, he went downstairs and put his head on the pillow. So that only left two people on deck. My wife Lisa and my brother Jeff to put a nice catch of fish together in a few hours. They pulled in 50 quality sea bass up to 2 1/2 pounds. Also in the mixed with some black fish that need to be released, and two nice size keeper flukes. Overall today was an excellent day for the time that we spent on the water.

7/26/2006

Today we had a sea bass trip for Ted, and his friends, the morning started out great and finished great. The boys limited out with 75 keepers sea bass up to 2 1/2 pounds for three anglers, also in the mix was too nice size keeper fluke. By 12:30 in the afternoon, the boys decided to call it a day to go home to the family and cook up the beautiful sea bass. Ted said, he'll be back in November for the mix of sea bass and black fish.

7/25/2006

Today we had a bluefish charter for Charlie and his family, they were down visiting from Kansas, they wanted to do some ocean fishing for bluefish. As soon as we hit the ocean, one of the boys started to get a little sick. We continued to travel to the farms. Then the family exes us to turn around. So we went back to the Bay to do some bluefishing, and it was a steady pic of fish. Between 5 and 7 pounds. It turned out to be a great day for the boy and the family. They were very happy with the amount of fish, they caught for the day and for that boat ride to the Atlantic Ocean. And they got to experience a 2 to 3 foot sloppy and confused sea.

7/16/2006 Sunday

Today we had a sea bass trip Ray and the boys, it was a carbon copy day of Saturday, but this time. The fish were between 2 and 3 1/2 pounds. We boated 83 quality keepers sea bass. In the mix, we had a 2 1/2 pound flounder, with a nice 20 inch fluke , and some nice black fish that needed to be released. Anthony said, he'll be back for those black fish in November. Overall, it was a great day.

7/15/2006 Saturday

Today we had a sea bass charter for Anthony V. and boys. The morning started out great, and also through the day, we only needed to hit a few spots, which was a great thing for the day and for the crew. We manage to get 95 keeper see bass, up to 3 pounds. Also in the mix were some really nice black fish. But needed to be released, overall it was a great day of fishing.

Friday, July 13 2006

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, went to Canada to visit some redneck relatives. Brought a few of the hooples back with me to do some fishin'. Adam was the shining star of the trip, managing to catch a good amount of stripers. Adam also caught the largest striper at 29 lbs and took the pool, although that was Canadian money so it really wasn't worth nothin'. But Huey is another story all together. He was fishing with so tight a drag on his stealth wire he must of thought he was stringin' his banjo. He was popping off more fish than the blackheads on his face. Then there was Gordie...he brought his famous Muskie rod but we renamed it THE MUSTY ROD. We figured the way he used the thing it must've been laying in his basement for three years because he was so damn clueless. I've heard of all the tall tales of great big Muskies being caught by these woodsmen, they must be using dymanite to raise these fish in the Saint John river because they sure as hell can't do it with a rod in their hand. Thanks for coming down guys, hope you enjoy the mule ride home. Love Joe and Lisa :)

7/5/2006 AM

Today we had a sea bass trip for Mike and the boys, we started off down south and the tide was screaming. We drifted a few pieces, and we were picking some nice sea bass. With the screaming current. It may tough conditions for the guys and the crew. So we decided to set the anchor by doing so, we were picking a handful of fish on each piece. Overall, we hit at least three pieces. And that was no great shakes either. When the tide to led up, we decided to hit and other area to drift. Later on in the day, and it produced some quality fish. Up to 3 pounds, we boated 70 nice keepers sea bass, and a lot of throwbacks to. Also there was some nice size ling that was boated. And some black fish mixed in that needed to be released.

Note: we are now running the open boat on Wednesday.

7/1/06

Decent fluke fishing today,we managed to catch our limits with fish up to 20 inches. There were also a good amount of shorts around, many between 16.5 and 17.5 inches. That's good for the Jersey boys but doesn't do us any good. Although today it didn't matter, but some days we could use those fish:)

6/24/06

Today we had a charter for sea bass for Mike and Frank and the guys, despite the weather. It turned out to be a great day weatherwise and catch wise. With the light winds. It made drifting conditions perfect. Our total catch up sea bass for the day was 95 fish up to 3 pounds. We decided to try a different area later on in the day that we anchored on and that produce some quality black fish up to 8 pounds that needed to be released. On light tackle the black fish was a lot of fun for the customers, despite the weather again. Thumbs up for the weather guys. If you listen to them, guys majority of the time you will be sitting at the dock.

Note: we are now sailing open boat for Wednesday, call for details.

6/21/06 AM

Today we had a split charter for Barbara and the guys. The morning, we started out striped bass fishing, and it produced quality fish. We landed 25 fish up to 30 pounds, and only keeping our limits. After they were worn-out, we decided to go sea bass fishing, and that produced quality fish. We had a total of 85 sea bass up to 3 pounds, with occasional not head, mixed in. Also in the bag, we had a fluke flounder and codfish, and also we had black fish up to 8 pounds. That was a nice surprise, but needed to be released. The customers were ecstatic about the amount of fish they had landed.

6/17/06

Today we had a split charter for Mike and Matt and the guys. Striped bass in the morning was very tough, although we were marking the fish. We only ended up with two bass 15 pounds and 25 pounds. The bass just weren't feeding that day, they sure had some set of locked jaw that day. The other part we decided to steam off to do some see bass fishing, and did it pay off. Within two hour time, we had 50 quality see bass up to 3 pounds. We also had a few black fish mixed in that had to be released.

Note: the Outcast will be offering open boat on Wednesday, please call for details.

6/11/06

Super bass fishing again, I do not now what the final tally was, after we caught our limit there was just to much chaos going on. Three or four on at at a time, if we could get the rods back in quick enough. Stripers ranged between 16 and 25lbs. We left the fish biting. Then we tried a little fluking in the bay, it sucked.

6/9/06 PM

OK bass fishing tonight, limited out by 8pm. Initially we caught the bass on the last half-hour of the incoming tide. We continued fishing through the slack tide, with good results. Then we caught a few more Bass on the outgoing tide and that seemed to be it. We fished with fresh bunker and caught Stripers that ranged from 15-22lbs. Of course there were plenty of Bluefish.

6/4/06

OK seabass fishing today, we had between 95 and 105 keeper seabass to 3lbs today, but we had to hit a lot of drops to do it.

6/3/06

Top notch striper fishing, had about 25 bass by 9:30 AM fish ranged between 14 and 21 lbs. Then we did a little flukeing, we had about a dozen fish, 3 of which were keepers, may have done a little better but we only had bunker strips for bait.

6/1/06

Opening day for porgys, super fishing all you wanted, all nice size fish with a few weighing in at 21/2lbs

May 29, 2006 - AM

Lighting fast bass fishing this morning, limited out by 8 AM, bass were between 14 and 23lbs. By 10AM we had too many to count. At slack water the fishing slowed, about 1 hour into the outgoing water the fishing picked up again, at that time we catching bass between 18 and 23lbs, we also caught 1 at 31lbs.

May 25 ,2006 - PM

This evening we had a striper charter for lou and friends. Top notch striper fishing - we had our limit by 8:30 PM. Fishing stayed solid until 9:30 PM and boys decided
to call it a night after their arms became weary.

May 25, 2006 - AM

Today we had a striper charter for rocky and boys. We had exellent striper fishing. The boys had ther limit within 1 hour time. Caught fish up to 28 LBS then we played catch and release for awhile. Then the boys called it a day.

May 24, 2006 - PM

This evening we had a striper charter for larry and friends. We fished in raritan bay. All customers limited out with fish up to 25 LBS.

May 21, 2006 - AM

Different day same results as yesterday, only difference being is that the fish were larger today. They ranged between 18 and 28lbs plus 2 in the 30 lb range. We ran out of 100 bunker, again too many bass to count.

May 20, 2006 - AM

The day started out just OK we picked just 7 bass to
17lbs plus about 15 blues to 10 lbs by 10 am. At that
point with the fishing a little slower than we have
become accustomed to lately, we decided to take a run to the east a bit. Boy did that pay big dividends, within
20 minutes bass to 23lbs were coming fast, at some
points three at time, with wind against tide some fish
were running to the bow going under the anchor
cable, we would have to walk the fish around, at one
point I said to myself what am I TUNA fishing. It was a
another good day.

May 17, 2006 - AM

Very fast fishing again had or limits within 1 hour, bass to 25lbs. Then we played catch and release for awhile, when the boys became arm weary we headed for the barn, which was around 10:30 AM.

May 16, 2006 - AM

Today we had a change of pace, blackfishing was on the menu and since we were weathered out on our previously scheduled trips I was chomping at the bit to see for myself what was going on with the bottom fishing, and it did not disappoint. By noon we had our limits of blacks to 8lbs.also in the mix were seabass to 2 1/2lbs and
porgies to 2lbs which were released. On the way home we stopped on some bass readings and began to hammer the bass, had our limits in a 1/2 hour fish to 34 lbs. Play catch and release for awhile do not no what the final tally was - too many to count.

May 15, 2006 - PM

Tonight started slow with the bass, we were catching mostly blues to 10lbs and three bass to 15lbs
for the first 1 1/2 hours. Then we decided to make
a move three miles to the east, the rods were bent right
away with bass to 20lbs. That continued for about 1
hour with very few bluefish in the mix. When the tide
went slack so did the lines. Although we had our limits
and then some, which were released, we wanted to see
what the outgoing tide would bring since we came off
the moon. We were glad we did, when the current picked
up steam, so did the fishing, rods were bending with 18
to 23lb bass.

May 13, 2006 - AM

Top notch striper fishing had our limits by 7:30 AM. Fishing stayed solid until 10:30.Then it seemed as if the fish had a case of lock jaw. We moved all over the bay to no avail. We also tryed live bunker at this point, with only a few run offs for or efforts. All in all it was still phenomenal fishing for 4 hours. Fish were between 15 to 23 lbs.

May 13, 2006 - PM

Repeat of our AM trip had our limits early then they shut off with the out going water. I believe this will change after the moon.

May 10, 2006

Exellent striper fishing tonite had our limits within two hours. Fish were between 15 and 28 lbs. With most in the 20 lb range. Fish bit on both tides with the larger fish coming on the ebb.

May 7, 2006

Striper was top-notch! Limited the boat out
early with Stripers averaging 15-20lbs. After
limiting out we played catch-and-release for a couple
more hours. We released Stripers up to 22lbs. Plenty
of Bluefish as well. All fish were caught on fresh
Bunker, fish bit on both tides.

April 29, 2006

Evening Striped Bass trip. Not too good on the
Stripers tonight. One keeper Bass. Loads and loads
of Blue Fish up to 10lbs. Stripers never had a chance
to get to the bait!

April 24, 2006

Evening Striper trip. We had our limit of
Striped Bass to 20lbs. Most of the fish averaged
around 12lbs. Plenty of Blue Fish mixed in, Bunker
was the bait of choice.

April 19, 2006

Striped Bass fishing today. Just O.K. bass
fishing today. Two shy of our limit. One weighed in
at 24 lbs., another weighed in at 27 lbs. Those were
the two largest fish of the day. We fished the Great
Kills area with Bunker chunks.

April 12, 2006

We went flounder fishing today and had 26
flounder up to 2.5 lbs. Not bad for three people. We
fished Roma under tough conditions, southerly winds
blowing around 25 knots. Fish seemed to prefer
Mussells for bait.
